We are continuing our countdown to Mothers Day, which is 20 days left in the UK and 60 in the U.S.
Mothers Day is a very special way of celebrating all that is mother. I see a mother as one who loves her children, nurtures, protects and teaches them right from wrong.
If you are reading this and you have that kind of mother, thank God!
If you are reading this and you don't have that kind of mother, I want to encourage you with a passage from the bible:
..."Can a mother forget her nursing child?
Can she feel no love for the child she has borne?
But even if that were possible, I would not forget you!
See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. . .
--Isaiah 49:14-16"
If you are reading this and you are a mother with the above qualities and your children are safe and well because you made sure they where so, thank God for you and may God himself reward your work!
If you're a mother who has not loved, nurtured, protected or taught your children right from wrong, one of the best things you can do is surrender them to someone who will do just that. Also, you need to know you have sinned and wronged those children and need to repent and seek help for yourself and your children.
I know mothering is challenging whether you're on your own or have a husband, but you and I have a responsibility to children we have brought into this world and unless you are mentally handicapped I don't see why you shouldn't do your very best for your children.
So, please make Mothers Day special by becoming or remaining the best mother to your children ever!
